Dalgona Coffee or “Whipped Coffee”

Dalgona Coffee or “Whipped Coffee”

Originating from Macau, this coffee spread to South Korea (where it was then named Dalgona) and during the pandemic, it became a viral internet sensation. Due to the fact that everyone was stuck at home, this easy hand whipped coffee, is not only a great “pick me up” but it’s also a “feel good” treat. Whether you’re whipping it up for breakfast or looking for an afternoon perk, you’re definitely going to want to give this headliner a try.
(We recommend using Cafe Bustelo Espresso Dark Roast for a more authentic flavor but any instant coffee will work!)

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp instant coffee granules

1 cup whole milk (warmed or chilled)

1 Tbsp cane sugar

1 Tbsp hot water

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the water, sugar, and coffee. You can use a hand mixer or whatever you prefer. (use whisk attachment) Mix on high until stiff peaks begin to form.

2. Add the milk to a glass and top the milk with your whipped coffee. Easy!

Enjoy!
